After visiting one of the shortest rivers in the world – the beautiful spring of river Ombla and short break on Franjo Tuđman bridge, we are climbing to Mount Srđ for several photo stops and a museum visit. Leaving Mt. Srđ, you will drive along the southern coastline to the small town of Cavtat. According to historians, the Roman tribe who settled Cavtat, which was then called Epidaurum, later founded Dubrovnik, after fleeing from Slavic neighbors and their hometown in the early 7th century A.D. You will visit the remains of this ancient civilization and have some free time to explore the seaside promenades and peaceful streets of Cavtat. Your will tell you the story of our region, from its humble beginnings through many political and cultural milestones up to the Yugoslav War of the 1990s. Tour Information


  • Before you book this tour:

    The tour starts with pick up at your cruise ship/accommodation. On the beginning we have pleasant drive along the bay of river Ombla with a break on the spring where you can freshen up with a cold drink from bar. Next stop is Franjo Tuđman bridge which connects two banks of the bay. From here you can enjoy beautiful view over Elafiti islands and Gruž port. After we left bridge we drive above city to the top of Mt. Srđ with photo break right above old town and 20min visit to the fort Imperial, strategically most important point in the area. From here you can enjoy 360° view over Croatia and Bosnia. We will leave mountain behind and continue with drive along costal road of Dubrovnik Riviera up to the town of Cavtat. Here we will see the rest of old Roman civilization, medieval defending wall and have 30min walk through the center. From Cavtat we take 30min drive back in Dubrovnik where you continue with the walk through the old town. Upon arrival you arrange meeting time for return transfer with your driver.
