Add 30min visit to St. Marco to tour

Cathedral of St. Mark is the center of religious life, and one of the most important and most beautiful monuments in the old town of Korčula. It was built in the 15th century on the site of a Romanesque church from the 13th century. Local masters who were known from Dubrovnik to Venice were engaged on its construction. On the wall behind the main altar is a large painting depicting St. Mark Bartholomew and Jerome, the first translator of the Bible into Latin. There is also the icon Our Lady of the 14th century, which is believed to have saved Korčula from the Turks in 1571.

Tripadvisor FinnMc: „The day trip to Korčula from Dubrovnik was excellent , we drove from the mainland off to the peninsula, the tour guide Ivo was great!! he provided us with a fantastic insight into the region informing and showing us about the culture and history of the vineyards, salt lakes and fortresses in Ston old town (located on the pinnacle), we were taken to an amazing wine distillery where we were able to learn about the wine making process , see the wine cellars and taste some of the best wines in Croatia !! afterwards we were able to experience an excellent seafood lunch which had been specially arranged by Ivo , the fish was delicious and caught and prepared freshly that day using the traditional Croatia way of cooking sea food. This was overall one of the best experiences I’ve had in Croatia and would of been possible without Ivo, definitely the best tour guide available in the Dubrovnik.“ Read more
