Montenegro Excursion from Dubrovnik

Locally known as Crna Gora (literally “black highlands”), this country is known for its forested hills that reach all the way to its pristine sea. From the Illyrian and Roman tribes who originally inhabited Montenegro to its unique role in the Yugoslav war, you will learn two and a half thousand years of heritage and visit some of the most beautiful coastal towns on the Adriatic. After brief stops in Igalo and Herceg Novi we will continue south to Perast, in the Bay of Kotor. You will learn how the geography of this bay has influenced Montenegro's political and economic history as we take a boat ride to a small island called Our Lady of the Rocks (“Škrpjela”). Your guide will lead a walking tour through Kotor old town brimming with history and culture.

Tripadvisor Mary B: „We booked an all day private tour for 4 to Montenegro and were delighted with our guide, Andrej. He asked us what we liked, what we wanted to do and why we wanted to go to Montenegro. He then planned a fantastic day for us stopping in Cavtat first for coffee and a walk around the town. The drive to Montenegro was beautiful and Andrej added history and interesting information along the way. He took us to a wonderful traditional restaurant, Konoba Skolji, in Perast where we tried the local specialties of fresh fish and lamb under the bell. Walled cities of Kotor and Budva followed with a stunning sunset on our drive home.“ Read more
