Montenegro tour from Dubrovnik basic itinerary includes drive through Herceg Novi and Perast, couple hours of Kotor and Budva walking tour and panoramic view of Sveti Stefan. Montenegro day trip from Dubrovnik can be extended by optional visit to several unique attractions which we suggest below.

Perast Boat Trip

Add 45min in Perast to tour

From stone town Perast we will take a boat ride to small island called Our Lady of the Rocks (“Gospa od Skrpjela”). Legend has it that after discovering an icon of the Holy Mother Mary on a rock, sailors began to lay stones in the sea after every successful voyage until an island emerged from the sea. We will visit the church and museum that now stand on this man-made island. Boat drive and entrance fee in museum included.

Tripadvisor MaryB: „We booked an all day private tour for 4 to Montenegro and were delighted with our guide, Andrej. He asked us what we liked, what we wanted to do and why we wanted to go to Montenegro. He then planned a fantastic day for us stopping in Cavtat first for coffee and a walk around the town. The drive to Montenegro was beautiful and Andrej added history and interesting information along the way. He took us to a wonderful traditional restaurant, Konoba Skolji, in Perast where we tried the local specialties of fresh fish and lamb under the bell. Walled cities of Kotor and Budva followed with a stunning sunset on our drive home. “ Read more

Tripadvisor Tony N: „My family used Taxi Dubrovnik for three separate services while vacationing in Croatia during August 2015. We had planned to use them for only one tour, but we had such a marvelous experience that we requested additional services over the course of the rest of our vacation. Our first tour was a day trip to Montenegro. Our driver arrived in a spotless Mercedes Benz, which was well air-conditioned and very comfortable. Ivo was punctual, attentive, and an extremely safe driver. I appreciated his ability to modify our agenda to suit the needs of my nine year old son, as well as keep him entertained with stories of the region. He took care of all the details which would typically stump a traveler in an unfamiliar country, such as buying ferry tickets, arranging boat rides, and simply finding parking for an extended tour of Kotor. Not one detail was overlooked, allowing me and my son to simply sit back and enjoy the day. Based on our positive experience, we requested Taxi Dubrovnik provide a driver for a short trip to Bosnia-Herzegovina. Once again, this company did not disappoint, customizing a trip which met our time constraints but afforded us the opportunity to visit Croatia’s neighbor. Our trip to Trebinje was unforgettable as it provided us a glimpse into a country which we would have never been able see without our driver’s guidance. His insights regarding the region, its culture and recent conflicts, added a unique depth to our experience. Finally, on our day to depart, we utilized Taxi Dubrovnik for a ride to the airport. No surprise here. . .they again provided a very safe and capable driver who arrived on time and provided a smooth ride to the airport. I cannot speak highly enough of this company. They were extremely professional, provided excellent guides, and, simply stated, made our visit to Croatia better than we could have imagined. We will be back next year and guarantee that we will book all of our travel and tour needs through this capable and competent company.“ Read more

Budva Beach

Add 1h in Budva to tour

After reaching the furthermost point of our journey through Montenegro, you shouldn't miss opportunity to take a swim on one of sandy, kilometers long, Budva beaches. Have a cocktail in one of the numerous bars and find out why Budva is capital of night life in Montenegro.

Tours By Locals Drew MacDonald : „Ivo was the best guide we ever had...truly the best!! Book him for everything you do in and around Croatia, including Montenegro and Bosnia. We booked him for 2 days, but saw him for 5. We had more fun than can be described in the allotted space. Ivo went way above and beyond what could be asked as he provided extra care for my wife who has a disability. By the time we left, we felt like we were saying goodbye to family. If you book Montenegro, visit Budva for lunch at Ivo's spot on the water.“ Read more
