Dubrovnik Game of Thrones Boat Tour

Experience Dubrovnik from a unique perspective and spend time on the beautiful island of Lokrum when you join our new Game of Thrones Boat Tour. Leaving from the Old Port, this tour is actually add-on for our GoT walking tour. As you take in the panorama view of Old Town, your guide will explain some history of our city walls and the beautiful Villa Šeherezada, the “Taj Mahal of the Mediterranean”, where Tyrion Lannister rested before escaping King's Landing in season four. Compare freeze frames from various Game of Thrones scenes with their real-life locations for a true “behind-the-scenes” feel. Take a look on site of trial by combat from sea. Before the Homeland War broke out in Dubrovnik in 1991, Belvedere was one of the most prestigious five-star hotels in Yugoslavia, but it was destroyed in the bombing and since then has remained more or less abandoned. Our next and final stop is the highlight of this tour: the island Lokrum. Legend has it that the Benedictine monks who once lived on Lokrum put a curse on the island when they were forced to leave in the early 19thcentury, and today the only permanent residents are hundreds of peacocks and rabbits. Walk through the ancient monastery and visit a tiny salt water lake called the “Dead Sea” before heading to Lokrum's Throne Room. Here you can read about the fictional history of Westeros and take your photo on the Iron Throne! Your guide will lead you through the botanical garden, filming location for some celebrations in Quarth, before leaving you to enjoy some free time. Anyone who has more time to spend can relax on Lokrum's rocky beaches, rent a mountain bike or have lunch at one of the island's small restaurants. A ferry boat returns to the Old Port every 30 minutes and the return ticket is included in our tour price so you can spend as much time as you like on this small but magical island – just be sure to leave with the last boat, before the sun goes down!

Tripadvisor Annemariie89: „We took the GoT walking and driving tour, the walking tour we had Davor as guide, he is very funny and he has quite a good portion of information about the filming process in Croatia which he combined it with a little Dubrovnik history, some people on the tour weren't GoT fans (husbands and wife's that don't watch the show) but all of them genuinely enjoyed the tour very much. Once the walking tour was over we went on the driving tour with Igor, I absolutely have no complaints about this company, they treated us very well and Igor did a fantastic job being very gentle and entertaining towards us, we got lucky probably because the driving tour was overbooked and Igor took us with his car. The driving tour has many fantastic panorama views of Dubrovnik and hidden spots and beaches. I strongly recommend it both. I regret we didn't took the full tour with the Lokrum island as well because the other 2 were totally worth it.“ Read more

Tours By Locals Mary-Lou Galician: „Ivo's "GoT" tour for 6 of us was also spectacular! (See my review of this gracious, charming, spirited, & FUN driver/guide's same day "Dubrovnik Essentials Shore Excursion.") He assisted the GoT crew in a variety of stunning locations, so he had lots of interesting inside info about the many beautiful settings we explored (& photos of GoT enhancements vs. the restored state). The finishing touch: a great dinner at a table he reserved by a natural waterfall at a forest restaurant with local wines & food.“ Read more
